Referrals
TO SMYL COLLEGE
Enrolment to SMYL Community College (the College) is by referral only. All students referred to the College have significant barriers to education. Teaching and learning processes are adjusted, and support services provided, to meet students’ needs. We follow a case management model in which every member of staff works in a team to find the right learning pathway for every student.

Referrals will only be accepted from Local Government Schools, Education Regional Office Participation and Engagement Teams, Youth Justice and Department of Child Protection.

Referring school completes
Referring to SMYL application form
SMYL Community College receives and reviews Referring to SMYL form.
After confirming Parent/Guardian consent, the College Executive Assistant gathers detailed information regarding education, wellbeing, and support from the referring School/Agency or Parent/Guardian.
Appointment scheduled for enrolment interview onsite with Principal and/or Campus Coordinator. Further documentation to be completed.
Outcome of Enrolment Interview will be communicated within 2 business days of Enrolment Interview
