At SMYL Community College, all students build their social and personal capabilities through hands-on learning and real-world projects. These capabilities are developed across core subjects like Maths and English, where students take part in group and community projects.

From Year 10 onwards, every student completes a vocational qualification. This may include Leadership or Workplace Skills, leading into Certificate courses in Year's 11 & 12. These opportunities ensure that every student graduates with recognised qualifications and the practical skills needed for work and life.

CURRICULUM

Project based learning and individualised instruction are at the heart of the curriculum at SMYL CC. Opportunities for cross-curricular, real-life learning experiences are embedded into a student's learning journey, alongside the explicit teaching of values and life skills.
